Tolt is positioned for SaaS startups. Its public pricing page lists a Basic plan at $69/month up to $10,000/month earned from affiliates, Growth at $99/month up to $20,000/month, and Pro at $199/month up to $50,000/month. It also says all plans include a 14-day free trial.

That is useful context, not a reason to attack the product. If you are moving from Tolt to RefCampaign, the reason should be operational fit: Stripe-native workflow, EU hosting, public pricing from 39 EUR/month, or a simpler founder-led affiliate program.

## Start with the current program state

Before rebuilding anything, write down:

- Active affiliates and referral volume.
- Current Tolt plan and affiliate revenue tier.
- Commission flows and special partner groups.
- Payout method: manual payouts, PayPal, Wise, bank, crypto or wire.
- Pending commissions and refund handling.
- Partner resources and branded portal settings.

Tolt's FAQ says it currently works with Stripe or Paddle and that cancellations stop commission calculation while refunds deduct the commission from the affiliate. Use [Tolt pricing](https://tolt.com/pricing) as the source for current terms before finalizing the migration.

## Decide what changes in RefCampaign

A migration is not a clone operation.

Keep the parts that protect trust:

- Commission rates.
- Payout schedule.
- Pending commission treatment.
- Active partner links.

Change the parts that created friction:

- Too many commission flows.
- Manual reconciliation for Stripe subscription changes.
- Unclear ownership of affiliate resources.
- Pricing or hosting constraints that no longer fit.

RefCampaign is a better fit when you want the program centered on Stripe subscriptions and a GDPR-conscious European setup. Read the [Stripe-native affiliate software page](/en/stripe-affiliate-software) for that product angle.

## Move active affiliates first

Do not migrate dormant affiliates before testing active ones.

Pick the three affiliates with the most recent traffic or revenue. For each:

1. Create the affiliate in RefCampaign.
2. Generate the new link.
3. Test a click and paid Stripe event.
4. Send the affiliate their new link and transition note.
5. Monitor attribution for one full billing event.

Once this works, move the rest of the active roster. Dormant affiliates can be invited later with a reactivation email.

## Reconcile payouts before closing Tolt

Keep both systems accessible until finance can answer:

- Which commissions are pending in Tolt?
- Which commissions are already approved?
- Which commissions moved to RefCampaign?
- Which refunds or cancellations are still inside the old window?

The cutoff rule should be written in one sentence. Example: "Clicks before June 15 stay in Tolt unless the affiliate updates their link earlier; clicks from June 15 onward are tracked in RefCampaign."

## Migration checklist

Use this sequence:

1. Export affiliates and commission flows.
2. Document current payout and refund rules.
3. Rebuild the core program in RefCampaign.
4. Test Stripe attribution end to end.
5. Move top affiliates first.
6. Email the remaining active affiliates.
7. Reconcile old commissions.
8. Freeze old approvals after the cutoff.

For comparison details, read [RefCampaign vs Tolt](/en/compare/refcampaign-vs-tolt), check [RefCampaign pricing](/en/pricing), or [contact us](/en/contact) with your current Tolt setup.

The migration succeeds when affiliates do not need to understand the tooling change. Their links work, their commissions are visible, and your SaaS team gets a simpler revenue-backed workflow.
