Partner operations

Qualified referral

A referral that meets predefined quality rules before it becomes commissionable.

Definition

A qualified referral is a lead, trial, demo or customer that satisfies the merchant's rules for partner credit. Qualification can depend on company profile, geography, source quality, sales acceptance or payment status.

B2B SaaS context

Sales-led SaaS teams often need qualification to avoid paying for unfit accounts, duplicate contacts or traffic that cannot buy. The rule should be objective enough for partners to understand before they promote.

Operator note

Document qualification criteria in the partner terms and keep rejection reasons visible in the partner portal when an application or lead is declined.

Turn the definition into operating rules

RefCampaign helps recurring SaaS teams translate attribution, refunds and payout policies into a partner program that can be audited.
