Revenue

Churn adjustment

A commission rule that changes partner compensation when a referred customer cancels or contracts.

Definition

A churn adjustment reduces, pauses or stops commission when the referred subscription churns before a defined period. It protects the merchant from paying full lifetime-style rewards on customers who do not retain.

B2B SaaS context

Because SaaS value accrues over time, churn is a central commission design variable. Programs may pay only after a retention milestone or claw back commission inside an early cancellation window.

Operator note

Define the churn window, the revenue status that triggers the adjustment, and whether a later reactivation restores partner credit.
