Revenue

Earnings per click

Affiliate revenue divided by clicks, used to compare partner traffic quality and offer attractiveness.

Definition

Earnings per click, or EPC, estimates how much commission a partner earns for each click sent to the merchant. It is usually calculated as total commission divided by tracked clicks over a defined period.

B2B SaaS context

In B2B SaaS, EPC can be misleading when the sales cycle is long or revenue is recurring. A low early EPC may become attractive once trials convert, invoices renew and expansion revenue is counted.

Operator note

Segment EPC by partner, channel and cohort age, and filter non-human clicks before using the metric to judge program quality or commission competitiveness.
